It was a week full of wines, vines, microbes and even nitrogen. The annual forum for science and research has come to an end, but we have photos to keep the memories alive. Additionally, audio recordings are available for sale, and video recordings of the three international Nitrogen Symposium speakers are available FREE to members.  Below are some of the highlights from this year’s National Conference:

ASEV Membership Survey Results

The ASEV greatly appreciates the members who took the time to fill out the 2014 membership survey. It is through your valuable feedback that we shape the direction of our Society.  Here are some highlights from the survey:

Members felt ASEV provided a valuable service to the wine and grape industry, is key to their professional development and is balanced in addressing both enology and viticulture research. They also expressed confidence in the staff.

Harbertson to Serve as Interim Technical Program Director

Dr. Andy Walker of the University of California, Davis, who has served as ASEV’s technical program director since the position was created in 2010, has elected to step down from the position. Dr. James Harbertson, ASEV’s second vice president and extension enologist at Washington State University, will serve as interim technical program director. Jim served as the technical enology program director for the technical program committee.
