Seeking qualified applicants with interest in pursuing graduate studies with an applied viticulture focus. Applicants can be for the MSc. program. Both programs offer financial support through graduate research assistant stipends, and academic tuition will be paid in full.
Projects will primarily deal with cultural practices, such as
canopy management, training, and pruning, as they relate to grape
quantity and quality in several regionally popular varieties
(i.e. Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Cabernet franc, Merlot,
Norton).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified applicants for MSc. program will have received a BS in
horticulture, food science, plant biology, or closely related
field. Qualified applicants for PhD Program will have a BS
or MSc (preferred) in the aforementioned fields.
Applicants with viticulture / vineyard experience will be given
preference.
WHERE:
Successful candidates will be stationed at University of
Georgia’s main campus, in the beautiful college town of Athens,
GA.
