In Remembrance of Robert “Bob” Steinhauer
The entire ASEV joins in expressing our sympathies to the family of Bob Steinhauer, who passed away Friday, November 28, 2025. His career spanning over five decades, Steinhauer reshaped the landscape of modern winegrowing, particularly in vineyard management. His leadership extended beyond vineyard operations; he was the first viticulturist to serve as President of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) in 1985-1986, and he chaired the Program Development Committee for the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium in 2006–2008.
