AJEV to be Published Entirely Online

Beginning July 1, 2025, the American Journal of Enology and Viticulture (AJEV) will be published entirely online, with the Print on Demand service to be discontinued on June 30, 2025. Online AJEV content will continue to include a formatted PDF of each article, which readers may download and print as desired. AJEV back issues from 1955 to 2022 will remain available for individual order at the ASEV member price of $15/issue or non-member price of $25/issue.

Similarity Check Software to Assist with Plagiarism Detection for AJEV

Effective immediately, a Similarity Report will be generated automatically for all new manuscripts submitted to the American Journal of Enology and Viticulture (AJEV). Editorial Manager, AJEV’s manuscript tracking and review system, has been configured to interface with Similarity Check, a service provided by Crossref. By comparing new submissions to other published academic and web-based content, Similarity Check creates a report that outlines and summarizes the extent of overlap found across both content sources. Hans Walter-Peterson, senior extension associate, with Cornell Cooperative Extension has been appointed the ASEV Technical Program Director in July 2024.
