- Extension Distinction Award is for current extension professionals working in enology or viticulture.
- Merit Award is ASEV’s highest honor for an individual who contributed to the progress and advancement of enology and viticulture in an outstanding and distinguished manner for the Society and/or wine industry.
This year, the honors went to Dr. Tony Wolf of Virginia Tech for the Merit Award and Mr. Mark Battany of the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR), San Luis Obispo County, for the Extension Distinction Award.
