Arsenic in Wine: A Scientific Perspective
The presence of arsenic in wine has received considerable consumer and legal interest recently. This presentation will discuss the toxicity of arsenic, how it gets into wine and many other foods, and what health risks, if any, are associated with consuming arsenic from food and wine. The presentation will also briefly discuss a related issue, the herbicide glyphosate in wine, and will conclude with a non-traditional finale involving audience participation.
