Kristen Barnhisel Begins Term as ASEV President

Kristen Barnhisel, winemaker, white wines, at J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, began her second non-consecutive term as ASEV president on July 1. Barnhisel previously served as president in 2019-2020 and returns to lead the Society as it continues strengthening connections among researchers, educators and industry professionals.
Joining Barnhisel on the 2026-2027 leadership team are First Vice President Federico Casassa, Second Vice President Leticia Chacón-RodrÃguez, Secretary-Treasurer Lise Asimont, Science Editor Markus Keller and Technical Program Director Hans Walter-Peterson. Directors include Alec Levin, Caroline Merrell, Robert Coleman, Aude Watrelot, Elizabeth Tomasino and new director Cain Hickey.
