Interested in learning about vineyard pest management? Thinking about a career in research and extension? The Washington State University Viticulture and Enology Program currently has an opening for a funded, PhD Graduate Extension Assistantship, starting in Fall 2015 in the Moyer Laboratory.

The associated student will improve their technical understanding of the technology involved in vineyard pest management, the biology of pest management program development, and the methods behind Extension programing and delivery. This is a dual research-extension based project, based out of the WSU-Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center located in Prosser, WA, the heart of Washington wine country.

Students interested in this project are requested to send a copy of their CV and a coverletter describing their viticulture research interests, career aspirations, and past experiences in either teaching or large-group presenting to Dr. Michelle M. Moyer (michelle.moyer@wsu.edu) for prescreening. Selected students will then be invited to apply to the doctoral program in Horticulture at Washington State University for final evaluation.
