Description:
(75% Extension/25% Research) NMSU, Extension Plant Sciences. Tenure track, 12 month.

Ph.D. required in Viticulture and/or Enology, Pomology, Plant Science, Plant Biology, Horticulture, Food Science and Technology or related field.

The successful candidate will be experienced in viticulture, with knowledge of grape production practices, soils, water management, plant physiology and pest management; and will develop a progressive extension and applied research program that actively supports the growing wine grape industry in New Mexico.

The position will be based in NMSU main campus in Las Cruces, NM with statewide responsibilities and is housed in the Extension Plant Sciences Department (EPS), and Plant and Environmental Sciences Department (PES).

Field and laboratory research facilities are available.
