Brief Job Description:
the Oregon State University-Southern Oregon Research & Extension
Center seeks applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month,
tenure-track viticulturalist position at the Assistant Professor
rank with a Research (75%) and Extension (25%) split. The
successful candidate will develop a progressive applied research
and educational outreach program that will assist wine grape
producers in the three-county region of southern Oregon in
improving production efficiencies in areas such as irrigation,
integrated pest management, canopy management, plant nutrition
and vineyard mechanization while encouraging responsible natural
resource management.
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in viticulture or other
closely related field of study with a capacity for intellectual
curiosity and creativity for applied research and Extension
programs. Postdoctoral experience in the field of study is
strongly preferred.
